Did you spot all the cues? 👇Stella is a very nervous girl during her visits with us, and we know that every encounter matters to making her visit a positive one. Let’s go through the cues together:1️⃣ Julia’s gentle pet on the head 2️⃣ Julia’s calming tone “come on Stella”Stella then froze and didn’t not want to walk any further3️⃣ Julia chose to carry Stella, instead of forcing her to walk. 4️⃣ Ashley’s gentle hold for blood collection 5️⃣ Julia’s positive praise “good girl”, “good job”6️⃣ Ashley’s positive praise “good girl” 7️⃣ Ashley’s gentle pet on her chest while holding the site of collection 8️⃣ Ashley’s gentle lift off the table with reassurance of “it’s okay”9️⃣ Julia’s final praise of “good job”9!! In this very short blood appointment, Stella received 9 different calming cues. And even though these cues were very subtle, each and every one of them helped to make Stella’s visit less stressful. And that is our goal for each and every patient, to make their visit less and less scary each time they come to see us 🫶🏼#vetvisits #veterinarycare #vetcare #bloodcollection #vettechlife #veterinarytechnician #vettechs #vettechs #burlingtonontario #burlingtondogs #fearfree #fearfreepets #fearfreevetvisit #veterinarynurse ... Pawsitive Vet Visits 🐾Ollie wasn’t exactly thrilled about his vaccines, but he was such a brave boy during his appointment! 🐶 Dr. Hughes made the experience a lot less stressful with her gentle and playful approach — making sure Ollie felt as comfortable as possible. And of course, no visit would be complete without a tasty cookie to wrap things up — definitely the highlight for the big guy! 🍪💕SWIPE 👉 to see Ollie getting his cookie! And a big thank you to Ollie’s dad for allowing us to share this moment! 🤗#vetvisits #dogsofburlington #vetcare #vetclinic #vethospital #caringforpets #chocolatelabsquad #chocolab #chocolatelaboftheday #chocolatelabsofig #veterinaryeducation #veterinarydoctor #veterinaryteam #labradorofficial #labradorablelove ...
